GOTHAM UNITED (dot) ORG
gothamunited.org is a citywide social media site, and it's hard to avoid. public (and many) private schools are using the site for it's multimedia applications, putting notes, paper reminders and videos up for students. businesses are getting linked in, using the site like twitter, reminding the city about specials, while customers utilize a yelp!-like feature to comment on quality, price and experience.
both the gotham gazette and the gotham times have online versions of their papers, and most gotham radio stations are streaming through gotham united. there are personal twitter features, blog features, podcast features. unless otherwise specified, posts are put into the public stream for everyone to see, to facilitate a sense of community throughout the city.
